My name is Brunna Vilas Boas. I am Brazilian, 29 years old, married to my love. Since I was a little girl, I have always liked art. I told my parents that I wanted to be a painter when I grew up.

To me, art is a universal language that can communicate the same message to people of all cultures and languages. As a Christian, I also believe that the arts are an expression of who God is. He created the heavens and the Earth, and everything else that we know. That creativity inspires us every day whether we know it or not.

I've formerly used oil paint on canvas, but nowadays I've adapted better to acrylic paint on canvas. I like the theme “sacred art”, however I tend to bring a touch of modernity with an expressionist touch in the details.

Expressionism aims to express feelings and exaggerate expressions to produce a sensation rather than focusing on reality. In my art you will find that the expressionist touch (thick layers of paint and “coarse” brushstrokes) aims to highlight Spirituality, producing an aura in the painting that touches and speaks to your inner self.
